POLYOX™ WSR 308 is a water-soluble resin. It is based on a long chain nonionic polyethylene oxide polymer.
The product has a the highest molecular weight of the polyox range with 8,000,000 and a viscosity of 10,000 to 15,000 cP.
POLYOX™ WSR 308 works as a thickener, flocculant, binder, film former, lubricant, and water retention aid. It can be used for a variety of applications including ceramics, coatings, drilling fluids, water treatment, mining, paper, adhesives, and building materials.
Applications
Adhesives: POLYOX™ WSR 308 provides an excellent wet tack and dry release to adhesives. It is commonly used in industrial and consumer adhesives for its low toxicity and high performance at a low level of use.
Agriculture: POLYOX™ WSR 308 can be used for its drift control efficiency and advanced rheology control in agriculture applications. POLYOX™ improves the crop protection product efficiency by extending contact time and of the actives to the crop leaves.
Ceramics: POLYOX™ WSR 308 can be used in the manufacturing of ceramic parts, tiles, bricks, fibers, and ceramic extrusion. It acts as a lubricant, binder and rheology modifier in high solid systems.
Lubricants: POLYOX™ WSR 308 improves lubricity. It is used as a drag reduction agent for piping and wiring applications.
Pulp and Paper: POLYOX™ WSR 308 provides excellent functionality as a retention aid and drainage agent in tissue and paper manufacturing process.
Water Treatment and Mining: POLYOX™ WSR 308 is a high-efficiency flocculant for clay, silica, oxidized coal fines and heavy metal. It also used for dust suppression and to improve dewatering efficiency for ultra-clear water separation.
