ELOTEX®SEAL80 is an encapsulated silane in powder form that provides excellent water-repellent properties on the surface and in mass of cementitious mortars. The active ingredient of ELOTEXO SEAL80 is released when the mortar is mixed with water, and it subsequently binds covalently to the inorganic mortar matrix. Therefore, it offers long term durability and an excellent pearl effect. ELOTEX® SEAL80 is fully efficient in alkaline medium at pH>10. It provides significant reduction in water uptake and improves adhesion. ELOTEXOSEAL80providesmortarswithexcellent wetting and mixing properties and is easy to dose with low dust formation. Furthermore, it has a long term shelf-life.

Storage

Store ELOTEXO powder in a cool, dry place in original packaging at temperatures not exceeding 25 ℃ and process within six months after the date of delivery. Avoid storing ELOTEX@ powder under pressure, in damaged sacks, in contact with moisture or heat, or in sacks left open for an extended periold, as this may result in blocking of the powder. If the product is stored for longer than six months after the date of delivery, users are advised to evaluate properties required for the intended use.

Powder processing: ELOTEXO SEAL80 can be blended in all commercial mixers with other dry additives to produce cement-based finished products in powder form..Significant temperature increases caused by strong shear forces should be avoided. All hydraulically and non-hydraulically curing dry mortars used with ELOTEXO SEAL80 can be easily mixed with water before application.

Additional information

Dosage and Mixing:the recommended dosage of ELOTEX SEAL80 is between 0.2 and 0.5%(weight% on dry mortar). Prolonged mixing time during dry mortar production should be avoided.
