VINNAPAS® 7031 H is a dispersible polymer powder composed of vinyl acetate-vinyl ester-ethylene terpolymer. It is redispersible in water and has good resistance to saponification.
Features
Mortars modified with VINNAPAS® 7031 H have higher adhesion, flexural strength, deformability and abrasion resistance, and are easy to apply. Furthermore, flow properties, thixotropy and water retention are largely unaffected. In addition, it acts as a strong water repellant without any effect on water vapour permeability at common dosages.
Due to the special chemical composition of the resin, the modified mortar can impart efficient and durable water repellency to basic building materials, and significantly reduce water absorption. VINNAPAS® 7031 H contains an anti-caking fine mineral filler and is free of solvents, plasticizers and film formers.
Special properties
VINNAPAS® 7031 H is a hydrophobic dispersible polymer powder with a low glass transition temperature (Tg). It has no effect on rheological properties and has a very low content of volatile compounds for excellent multi-purpose properties.
Application
Typical applications of VINNAPAS® 7031 H are: it can not only be mixed with inorganic binders such as cement, anhydrite, gypsum plasters and hydrated lime, in the production of structural adhesives, floor mortars, wall leveling mortars, joint-filling mortars , plastering and repair mortar, and can also be used as a binder for synthetic resin systems.
Storage
VINNAPAS® 7031 H should be stored in a cool place and protected from moisture. Due to the thermoplastic nature of this product, storage under pressure or high temperatures should be avoided to prevent caking. The storage period shall not exceed 6 months (from the date of delivery).
Mixing with hydraulic binders, fillers and pigments improves storage stability as these components help prevent caking. Nonetheless, such hybrid systems must also be protected against moisture.
